The San Clemente Chamber of Commerce was wow'd at their monthly Mixer last night by Jay's Catering on the seaside Patio of the Casino San Clemente. The debut of the Casino Margarita with a twist of orange received rave reviews!

Executive Chef Mark Bolton served Smoked Kalua Pork Sliders on Jay's homemade Dutch Crunch buns and Mini Croissant with goat cheese and imported prosciutto. Perhaps the larger crowd circled the sinful dessert display featuring lemon cheese cake, mango and passion curd tarts, gluten free chocolate decadence with fresh raspberry and Paris Brest cream puff filled with hazelnut cream.

The Patio of the Stars overflowed late in to the evening with Chamber members including President Lynn Wood, Council member Chris Hamm, Jim Evert and former Mayor Joe Anderson. Jay's Catering staff mingled with attendees and gifted "free coffee" cards to their forthcoming Ellie's Table corner cafe at the Casino, scheduled to open late August. Ellie's Table, with outstanding ocean views, will serve the local neighborhood fresh breakfast and Keen coffee starting at 6am through lunch service at 2pm.

Sunset Mixer at the Casino San Clemente

This month the Casino San Clemente will be the host on their newly renovated ocean view Patio of the Stars.

There will be a "sneak peek" of the new Casino cafe pastries including both sweet and savory bites by Chef Mark

The debut of the Casino Margarita will be a delicious treat to sip on while you enjoy your evening. Be ready for a  photo op with Marilyn and Mickey Rooney to top off the night!

Ellies Table at North Beach

Have you seen the banner on the Casino this week (on the Boca de Playa side)?  Ellie's Table at North Beach is beginning to take form!  Soon all those in North Beach (and beyond) can sit and gaze at the ocean with a Keen coffee in hand and homebaked chocolate croissant.  More tantalizing menu ideas to come - look for an opening end summer!  Ellie's plans to be open for breakfast, lunch and a take away dinner from 6am-2pm.

April Art Auction at the Casino

Another fantastic charity fundraiser was held at the Casino San Clemente on April 21st.  Lots of of sunshine and those perfect ocean breezes greeted guests who enjoyed wine tasting from The Cellar as well as incredible gourmet light bites from Jay's Catering. Live music from award winning vocalists entertained in the front Patio of the Stars, Grand Ballroom stage as well as back Rock Garden. Local fine artists presented recent works for both a silent auction and a very lively live auction to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of South County.    The hand painted bottle vases by the kids were a hit for only $10!!  We congratulate The Exchange Club of San Clemente, hosts for the afternoon, for a community benefit well done!!

Rock Garden Transformation

   We at the Casino San Clemente are so excited about the long awaited transformation of the private Rock Garden this week! Our garden has already hosted so many memorable wedding ceremonies, private gatherings and cocktail hours, but after the flurry of construction this week it will be just plain spectacular!! The historic outdoor fireplace will be repaired, the wedding circle refreshed, the green grass transformed to withstand dancing feet and twinkling market lights installed criss crossing the entire garden.  We envision an even more romantic garden than before! Second Annual "Art for Kids Sake" Art Auction

Don't miss the upcoming Second Annual "Art for Kids Sake" Art Auction at The Casino San Clemente!  Come spend a sunny afternoon at our ocean view venue, mingle with local artists and enjoy some award winning musical entertainment.  California wines courtesy of The Cellar and gourmet light bites from Jay's Catering will also be available for you to enjoy.

Auction favorites are the wine bottle vases created by the Boys & Girls Club, the beneficiaries of the event, which are being sold for $10.  You won't believe your eyes when you see how these recycled bottles can gain new life with beads, feathers, paint and personalized touches by these young aspiring artists!  They are impressive and usually multiple bidding wars erupt over these individual masterpieces!

Diamond Jubilee Bridal Giveaway Winners Announced:

In honor of it’s 75^th Diamond Jubilee anniversary The Casino San Clemente held a Diamond Jubilee Bridal Giveaway for one lucky couple to win the wedding of their dreams at The Casino San Clemente with special pricing from Jay’s Catering, Brett Hickman Photography, High Society Wedding and Event Planning, Society Band and Tangled Vine on Los Rios Florist. After pouring over dozens of personal histories and love stories the winner was finally announced on Valentines Day.

In an exciting twist not one but four couples were chosen owner Linda Sadeghi stated “the decision making process was agonizing for us. Each story was memorable, inspiring and touching.”

New Faces at The Casino San Clemente

The historic celebration and event venue in San Clemente welcomes Susie Sullivan to the venue management team. Susie will be joining Kelly Roemer who has previously served as General Manager at the Casino during its restoration phase. The two newly appointed Venue Managers are highly knowledgeable in the entertainment and hospitality industry. Owner Linda Sadeghi is excited to have “two very capable and experienced Venue Managers” ensuring that all patrons of the Casino San Clemente “will get personal and immediate attention, especially the Brides-to-Be that have somehow discovered us long ago!”

Renovations are being completed this season and the Casino San Clemente is eager to accommodate weddings, business, school and trade groups in the newly restored rooms and gardens.
